GCash is offering cashback to MRT-3 and LRT-2 commuters who pay their fares using GCash Commute QR from July 20 to August 20, 2026.

Fully verified users with active GCash accounts can join the promotion. LRT-2 passengers who use GCash Commute QR can receive 20% cashback on eligible rides during the promo period.
Meanwhile, new and eligible MRT-3 users can get 30% cashback on their first three rides paid through GCash Commute QR.
The promotion aims to encourage more commuters to try cashless fare payments and make everyday train rides more convenient. Riders can use the QR payment option instead of preparing cash or buying a separate ticket before entering the station.
GCash Vice President and Head of Innovation Ferdie Perez said the cashback offer gives commuters added value while introducing them to digital fare payments. He added that the company wants to reduce common problems during daily commutes by making payments simpler.
The initiative is part of GCash’s wider effort to bring digital payments to more everyday services, including public transportation.
GCash said it will continue working with transport operators and other partners to expand cashless payment options. The company aims to provide more commuters with convenient ways to pay for their fares using their mobile phones.
