Sony announces Monster Hunter: World Beta and First Collaboration

Listen to article

Sony recently made an explosive announcement that made more people jump into the Monster Hunter: World hype train. The company recently announced that the game would soon have a beta test and that a collaboration with another game has already been made.

The beta for Monster Hunter: World will commence on December 9th for the PS4, and will run for a minimum of three days. The catch here is that aside from the beta being exclusive to the PS4, beta testing is also only open to PlayStation Plus subscribers. No other details about the beta we’re revealed but the scheduling time for the beta is said to be announced at a later date.

Aside from the big beta test reveal, Sony also unveiled that Capcom’s monster hunter game will have a special collaboration with Guerrilla’s Horizon Zero Dawn. Monster Hunter: World players will have the opportunity to play as Aloy, Horizon Zero Dawn’s protagonist, as the game gains access to her full set of armor and bow. Not only that, but players will also be able to dress their Palicoes, a hunter’s feline comrade, to look like one of the machines from Horizon. Sadly, once more, this is currently only exclusive to the PS4 version of the game. Do take note, that whatever gender your character is he/she will resemble Aloy in every way and that her armor cannot be mixed with others, which means if you wish to equip Aloy’s armor you’ll have to equip the whole set.
