Google Pixel event announced for August 13

Netizens have been buzzing as a Google Pixel event was announced on August 13, 2024 as a surprise.

If you’ve been in anticipation to see the newest Pixel 9 or Pixel Watch 3, then this could be it. At the time of writing, tech entities like The Verge and Marques Brownlee have been invited to Google’s in-person event.

The event is slated to showcase the best of Google AI, Android software, and the Pixel device portfolio. Google even made a 15-second teaser to hype up the event even more.

The keynote proper will start at 10:00 AM PT or 1:00 PM ET or 1:00 AM for the Philippines. In comparison to last year’s event in October, this year’s Pixel-relative event has come much earlier.

Late 2023 saw the Made by Google showcase that revealed the Pixel 8, Pixel Watch 2, and AI enhancements for Google Assistant. With the date moving up, there’s low chances for pre-event leaks.

This has been evident when it came to the Pixel lineup of smartphones. However, it didn’t stop Google as they seem way ahead of schedule for 2024.
