Qualcomm has unveiled their latest chipset for virtual reality headsets with the Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2.

The Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 is a chipset for Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, and Mixed Reality devices. It is said that this processor will be utilized by Google and Samsung in their future headset lineups.
When compared to its predecessor, the XR2 Gen 2, the XR2+ Gen 2 supports 4.3K at 90 frames per second resolution with a 20% increased CPU and 15% higher GPU max frequency.
It also includes an on-device AI to improve spatial interactions and have support for Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 6E, and Wi-Fi 7.
There’s no news on what device will be the first to use this chipset, but we’ll let you know when we learn more.
