Listen to article

Nothing is expanding its Android 16-based Nothing OS 4.0 open beta rollout, now bringing the update to the Nothing Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro. The update first arrived for the Phone (3), Phone (2), Phone (2a), and Phone (2a) Plus earlier this month, and as promised, it’s finally landing on the remaining models.

The Nothing OS 4.0 open beta introduces a cleaner and more polished visual style with the new Nothing icon design, described as “lighter, more refined, and uniquely Nothing.”

The update also brings Lock Glimpse, which refreshes your lock screen with curated wallpapers from nine categories while showing timely updates and relevant content. Soon, users will also be able to display their own photos through Lock Glimpse for a more personal touch.

Other features from Nothing OS 4.0 carry over as well, including refinements to system animations, UI elements, and performance optimizations.
