0:00Sup peeps, Earl here from Yugate and
0:02Xiaomi has an early Christmas treat for
0:03the fans with the new Redmi Note 15 Pro
0:05series. And in this video, we’re taking
0:07a look at the Redmi Note 15 Pro and
0:09we’ll share our experience with it so
0:11far. Without further ado, cue in that
0:13intro.
0:14[Music]
0:16Looking at the unit, I think this new
0:18model exudes some level of
0:19sophistication. What we have here is
0:21titanium colorway with a shade that is
0:23more like a gold color. Not going to
0:25lie, I personally like this color
0:26option. Looking at its back panel, from
0:28what I can feel, it’s made out of
0:30plastic material with a matte finish
0:31look. You can also see the updated Redmi
0:33logo at the bottom middle part of the
0:35phone and the squareish like camera
0:37island up top. The phone is not that
0:38heavy even though it weighs slightly
0:40heavier at 210 g as compared to the Note
0:4314 series which is at around 190 g. Now,
0:46in terms of durability, the Redmi Note
0:4815 Pro is IP68 and IP69 rated, resistant
0:51to both dust and water submersion. It
0:53does show a fragile look on the outside,
0:55but material-wise, it’s sturdy enough
0:57thanks to a Gorilla Glass Victus 2
0:59protecting the display. Additionally, it
1:00comes with a black grayish jelly case in
1:02the box for added peace of mind. For
1:04iOS, the bottom part has the USBC port,
1:06speaker grill, and the SIM card slot. Up
1:08top, there’s the other loudspeaker
1:09beside the IR blaster and the mic. The
1:11right side has a volume rocker and power
1:13button, while the other side is clean in
1:14it. I must say, I like how great the
1:16display is. The Redmi Note 15 Pro
1:18features a 6.83 83 in 1.5K AMOLED
1:22display with up to 120 Hz refresh rate.
1:24The screen is certainly vibrant and I
1:26like how well balanced the colors of the
1:27phone are. Not to mention the bezels are
1:29significantly thin. Color accuracy and
1:31deep blacks are on point as expected of
1:33an AMOLED screen. It can reach a peak of
1:35up to 3200 nits which is already super
1:38adequate. So using it outdoors or under
1:40direct sunlight won’t be a much of an
1:41issue. All I can say is that I really
1:43love how immersive the display feels.
1:45This is where the phone truly shines for
1:46me. Spending the whole day binge
1:48watching movies and vlogs was
1:49effortless. And honestly, that’s exactly
1:51how it got me hooked on the device.
1:53Aside from that, the audio quality made
1:55it equally immersive and enjoyable with
1:56its dual stereo speakers. This isn’t
1:58just loud because of its 400% volume,
2:00but also because the sound quality is
2:02pretty good. For biometric security, the
2:04phone supports both facial and
2:05fingerprint recognition. Both work
2:07smoothly and quickly, especially with
2:09the indisplay fingerprint sensor. Now,
2:11let’s talk about the cameras. From the
2:12rear, it looks like the phone has a
2:14triple camera setup housed in a squirkle
2:16island. But don’t be fooled, it’s
2:18actually just a dual setup. It features
2:20a 200 megapixel main sensor with support
2:22for optical image stabilization or OIS
2:24along with an 8 megap ultra wide lens.
2:26The other circles you see here are an
2:28LED flash and an unspecified sensor. At
2:31the front, there’s a 20 megap selfie
2:32shooter housing a punch hole notch
2:34design. Taking a look at our sample
2:35shots, I was actually surprised that my
2:37photos were great. Even with the absence
2:39of a telephoto and macro lens, it can
2:41suffice for everyday photography. The
2:42images taken on the Redmi Note 15 Pro
2:44produce vibrant, crisp, and detailed
2:46output. Even in portrait mode, you can
2:48still get a nice two time shot of the
2:50subject you want to shoot. The rear
2:52camera can shoot photos from 0.6 to a
2:54maximum of 30 times digital zoom, while
2:56the selfie camera has a 0.8 to one times
2:58default zoom. It’s a bit tight, but it
3:01produces nice photos nonetheless.
3:08[Music]
3:12The video quality is pretty decent, too.
3:14The rear camera can record videos of up
3:16to 4K at 30 frames per second, and
3:18selfie shooter is capped at 1080p at 60
3:20frames per second. Sup peeps, early Fig.
3:23Right now, we’re using the uh
3:25front-facing camera of the Redmi Note 15
3:28Pro and it’s shooting at 1080p at 60
3:31frames per second and that’s the maximum
3:33it can go. Um, I am with Mark and tell
3:38us your thoughts about the camera
3:39capability and audio quality of this
3:41phone. My only gripe in this segment is
3:43that when you’re manually zooming in the
3:45photos when taking pictures, there’s a
3:47noticeable delay. At first, I thought I
3:48was overusing the phone. That’s why it’s
3:50a bit laggy. However, the delay still
3:52lingered even after I took some time
3:54checking out the other camera features
3:56of the phone. Adding to that, the
3:57post-processing takes a while before it
3:59shows you the actual output. Jumping to
4:01our next stop, performance. The Redmi
4:04Note 15 Pro is equipped with a MediaTek
4:06Dimensity 7400 Ultra. From experience,
4:08this chip strikes a mix between
4:10efficiency and performance. We played
4:12Mobile Legends on this one at maximum
4:14graphics level, and it delivered. I
4:16haven’t experienced any lags or delays
4:17while playing the game. I also tried
4:19playing Call of Duty Mobile, which also
4:20went pretty well. And when playing
4:22graphic intensive games, it also
4:23performed nicely, provided you tweak the
4:25graphics settings from low to moderate.
4:27It gets warm to the touch when you’re
4:29playing for a while, but not to the
4:31point that it’s alarmingly hot. For
4:32config, our unit has 256 gig of internal
4:35storage and 8 gig of RAM with an extra 4
4:37gig virtual RAM. Flashing our benchmark
4:39results now for those interested in the
4:41numbers.
4:54On the software side, the Note 15 Pro
4:56runs Xiaomi Hyper OS2 on top of Android
4:5815. It’s quite intriguing that this
5:00phone did not ship with Hyper OS3 on top
5:02of Android 16, but we could only wonder
5:04why. That said, there’s nothing notable
5:06to talk about as it still has the same
5:08setup as its predecessor, the Redmi Note
5:1014 Pro, which also launched this year by
5:12the way, back in January. Yeah, you can
5:14still tinker with the Note 15 Pro’s
5:16looks with built-in customization
5:18options, but that’s about it. Features
5:20like circle to search, AI beautify, AI
5:22ultra, AI image expansion, and Google
5:24Gemini are some of the AI features
5:26present on the Note 15 Pro. When it
5:28comes to update policy, Xiaomi is
5:29promising up to 3 years of OS upgrades,
5:31and four years of security patches for
5:33the Redmi Note 15 Pro series, which is
5:35already good enough. Battery wise, the
5:37Redmi Note 15 Pro packs a massive 6,580
5:40mAh unit, which is relatively larger
5:42than its predecessor. rated at 5,160 mAh
5:45R. The phone lasted me the entire day
5:47with moderate consumption. I was able to
5:49use it at my friend’s valuable
5:50tournament. And get this, I even used it
5:52as a power bank to charge my main phone
5:54using the Note 15 Pro. As usual, we had
5:56the phone tested for PC Mark battery
5:58life test, and it was able to clock out
6:00a total of 17 hours and 18 minutes. Of
6:02course, with support for 45 watts
6:04charging, I was able to juice up the
6:05unit quickly. Connectivity wise, you
6:07have the entire suite of 5G with EIM
6:09support alongside with Wi-Fi 6,
6:11Bluetooth 5.4, 4 GPS, NFC, and as was
6:14already mentioned, a built-in IR blaster
6:16for easy universal remote control for
6:18your home appliances. Now, you all may
6:20be asking, how much is this device?
6:22Well, as of recording, we don’t have the
6:24official pricing just yet, but once we
6:26do, we’ll have it in the description box
6:28or the comment section below. For
6:29reference, the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G had
6:31a starting price of 17,999 pesos for the
6:34base model, 8 gig plus 128 gig. So, we
6:37could expect the price of the Redmi Note
6:3915 Pro 5G to hover around that range.
6:41Wrapping this up, the Redmi Note 15 Pro
6:43is truly among the most intriguing
6:44mid-rangers of 2025. This one combines
6:47the best of the flagship functionality
6:48with affordability. It offers a large
6:50and immersive display with high refresh
6:52rate support, making it ideal for gaming
6:54and viewing multimedia content. It has
6:56powerful performance and a solid battery
6:59life with fast charging support, and its
7:01camera offer robust performance for
7:02capturing images and are suited for
7:04casual social media sharing. Although,
7:06it’s not without its flaws. You won’t
7:08find a telephoto camera here or wireless
7:10charging. And there are a few oddities
7:12with OS. For the most part, the Redmi
7:14Note 15 Pro is a very competitive option
7:16at this price point. It’s great for
7:18users who look for a powerful, feature-
7:19packed, and affordable smartphone that
7:21delivers an overall balanced experience.
7:23And that’s it. What do you think of the
