Akamai: PH has 4.3Mbps average Internet speed for Q2 2016

Akamai has released their State of the Internet / Connectivity Report for Q2 2016, showing the Philippines with an average Internet connection speed of 4.3Mbps.

According to the report, the Philippines has an average Internet connection speed of 4.3Mbps for Q2 2016 which is a slight increase from Q1 2016’s 3.5Mbps average. This puts the country at 14th place among APAC countries just above India, with a global rank of 100.

When it comes to Average Peak Connections, the Philippines is at 32.9Mbps. Still at 14th in the region with a global rank of 94.

Leading the APAC region, and the rest of the world, when it comes to Internet speeds is South Korea with an average speed of 27Mbps, followed by Hong Kong at 19.5Mbps, and Singapore at 17.2Mbps.
