Globe suffers power failure at one facility, causes loss of service

If you’re a Globe prepaid customer and had problems making calls and sending SMS last night, you’re not alone, as the telco suffered a power failure at one of their facilities that lead to a temporary loss of service.

“Due to power failure at one of our facilities, our Globe Prepaid customers experienced temporary loss of services earlier this evening.” the public advisory said.

Globe has apologized for the inconvenience and assured that the issue has been fixed. To compensate for the loss of service, the telco will be sending affected prepaid customers “FREE unli calls + 50 texts to Globe/TM and 40MB for surfing, valid for 1 day.” The customer will receive the promo within 48 hours.
