Samsung formally announced the first software update coming to its Galaxy S24 Series this month. The upcoming firmware aims to fix undersaturated displays on the Galaxy S24, S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra, and optimize their camera experience.

In its blog post, Samsung says that the Galaxy S24 Series gets “enhanced options and experiences across the device display and camera.”

There is now a ‘Vividness’ slider within the display’s Advanced settings. This allows users to have a more vibrant display rather than the ‘Natural’ tone that Samsung set by default. Users can still choose between natural and vivid display options with the addition of fine-tuning controls.

Additionally, Samsung made further camera optimizations. “We have made enhancements across the camera experience, including upgrades to the device’s zoom functions, Portrait Mode, Nightography, rear camera video shooting capabilities and more,” it stated.

While specifics are lacking, the update should also address camera issues some Galaxy S24 users have encountered. This is likely the case as Samsung claims that these improvements are based on its users’ feedback.

In the same blog post, Samsung also mentioned “communication without language barriers” which is relatively vague too. This could hint at improvements or new features for Galaxy AI live call translations, similar to the Google Pixel 8 Series.

The update begins rollout this February.
