We received some official photos and final specs of the upcoming Alcatel Flash Plus this May 15. The final design and hardware configuration of the batch that will be sold thru Lazada is indicated below.

The Alcatel Flash Plus comes in both gold and slate colors. However, the color variant that will arrive in the Philippines will be the slate color.

The internal storage is only limited to 16GB and there’s no 32GB available. Likewise, both the SIM card slots have LTE capability but only one can activate mobile internet at a time.

The 3,500mAh battery is non-removable. Access to the SIM card and microSD card are doen thru the side slots covered with polycarbonate flaps.

The Mediatek octa-core chip is under-clocked to a maximum of 1.5GHz per core (our sample unit runs at 1.7GHz). This will help improve battery life. During our testing, we got a very solid 13.5 hours of video playback in our test bench.

The 13-megapixel camera also has a fixed aperture of f2.2. Here are the sample photos we took earlier.

The Alcatel Flash Plus will be available exclusively thru Lazada (Lazada is the sole importer and distributor) on May 15 for Php6,490.

Comparing to Meizu M1 Note – here’s what I see this phone’s pros are: 1. battery is a bit bigger (3500mAh vs. 3140mAh), 2. price is cheaper (about 2000 cheaper than M1 Note). the one con I see is the display resolution, much lower display quality than M1 note – 1280×720, 267 ppi versus 1920×1080, 403 ppi.

The unknowns – how well does Alcatel support software updates to its phones? I’ve had my share of buggy updates and apps on Android phones, kaya critical din para sa akin na maganda ang support ng phone manufacturer sa software updates nila. I used to own an Alcatel One Touch model before and I was very disappointed how my phone never got updates from Alcatel after I bought it.

Ho hum. Isa na namang sabaw na phone. Yan ang pangit sa Android eh, pretty much like a pc world. Maganda lang sa papel yung specs pero pag dating sa reality sabaw na kailangan pang iunderclock para maging energy efficient. Tapos ung kuha ng camera halos di ko na makita sa labo ung pics. Tapos Kitkat? Out of the box? Hahaha! Well, sabi nga nila if its cheap, its not gonna be fast and reliable. Nakakatawa pa sa mga octacores nato, pag benchmark mo ambaba ng scores, daig pa ng mga naka dual core lang pero branded na mga SoC. tsk, kawawang mga linya ng phones.

Mag sabi ka nga ng dual core na cp na umabot ng 43k sa antutu at under 7000 pesos na phone.. pag meron bilhan kita.. Alam mo pre ung samsung and apple fnatic ka wag kang bitter sa low price with good specs.. why not go for price and quality instead paying branded phones ehh ung name lng nmn binabayaran mo dyan ehh.

Even if scam yan, you have nothing to lose. Because it’s cah-on-delivery naman. You see the item first-hand if it’s okay or not, if you’re satisfied you hand over the payment if not you can refuse, the courier cannot blackmail you into paying it because they already shipped the item to you. :)

Trusted ba ang Lazada? I definitely would buy this kaso reading the feedbacks from the net puro negative in terms of defective daw, wrong item sent, matagal bago dumating etc. Saka mas maganda kasi kung sa physical store, machecheck mo lahat. Please share your experience(s). And another note: What to check when receiving the phone para iwas defects?

I bought from them several times on COD basis. All my items were delivered in bubble-wrapped packaging within 3days only (NCR). All were sealed from manufacturer and with freebies I wasn’t aware of.

If bumibili ka sa Lazada, alam mong placeholder lang yan. Placeholder means, pag dumating na ang araw ng sale, magkaka stock.

Most phones say it can only handle up to 32gb of micro sd extension, but then when you try something with higher capacity, it usually still works, I’m waiting for a review before I purchase one. I just wanna know if it can handle more than 32gb (hopefully expand to 128gb of storage) Same thing for lenovo A7000. I hope yuga does

Super tanga. Intense. May lightning lost ka pa nalalaman. Baka ikaw ung tanga, walang control sa sarili, di makapag antay ng paglabas ng sobrang sulit na phone, kaya bumili na lng ng mga overpriced with underwhelming specs na phones, tas magsisisi sa huli.
