Seven months after Alcatel debuted its first and only smartphone that runs on an octa-core processor, the Alcatel One Touch Idol X+, the 5-inch handset has officially made its way to our shore and is currently being retailed for Php18,000; making it the second most expensive MT6592-powered handset to date next to the Gionee Elife S5.5

Contrary to what was previously reported, the Alcatel One Touch Idol X+ will only ship with an in-ear JBL earphone. The accompanying smartband called Alcatel Smart Boomband is sold separately, and can be had for Php1,900.

At 18k, there should be at least lte. Overall specs are indeed obsolete, and if not, wla nang features to na pwede nyang maging edge sa ibang phone. Mid range pa lang ng xperia and lg, out of the running na agad to..

android jellybean @ 18k? nababaliw ba ang apcatel guys…eh kitkat na ngayon and you can buy a decent one at 8K from LG ganda kaya ng LG70 mura pa mabilis ganda pa features…tas eto obsolete na maituturing ang jellybean at benta nila 18k? engot!

Wtf to!! In any case i doubt Alcatel will be out of business soon. They around before Ericsson became Sony;Motorola became Lenovo-owned; when Apple and Blackberry were still fruits and Nokia became Microsoft mobile. Alcatel has been around before Samsung or LG mobile division. Alcatel made Talk ‘n txt popular with their P2,999 prepaid handset. Alcatel never changed brand name. Now that i’m thinking of it.. Alcatel is the only mobile brand i know that stood the test of time..

pagnakarinig or nakabasa ako ng ALCATEL what comes first to my mind is yung Safeguard looking phone nila na may antenna. :D

This is actually TCL. Nagbabayad lang sila para gamitin ang pangalan ng Alcatel (which is beyond me.) Kaya siguro napapatungan ang price.

Over-all specs is obsolete for P18000 (and no sd slot?). Idaan na lang nila sa Lazada para makabreak-even man lang sila. Since mahal ang maglagay ng booth sa SM at nilalangaw sila doon, the best na ang online marketing para sa kanila.
