Android 7.0 Nougat begins roll-out today

Google is starting to roll out its latest Android OS — version 7.0 known as Nougat. The update will be coming to devices manufactured by the company.

Starting today, expect to receive notifications on your handset if you own one of the following:

  • Huawei Nexus 6P
  • LG Nexus 5X
  • Motorola Nexus 6
  • HTC Nexus 9
  • ASUS Nexus Player
  • Google Pixel C
  • General Mobile 4G

There are no new devices introduced this year unlike in the past that came with the roll-out of new Android versions. As usual, the complete update will finish in weeks and will arrive per region. So don’t worry if you still haven’t received a notification on your Nexus device. Additionally, you may also manually check it by going to Settings>About Phone>Update Center>Software Update.

Just like we’ve previously mentioned, some of the tweaks for this new OS include visual improvements to the Material design as well as new features like multi-window mode and seamless updates.

  1. Sana merun ding Nougat ang Nexus7 2nd gen.total wla pa naman 2016 or2017 version eh.

  2. no android 7 update so far for my cherry mobile android one and android one g1 phones.
    (checked august 23, 2016 1030AM and august 24, 2016 730AM, philippine time)
