Best Features of the realme GT Master Edition w/ SD778G 5G

Along with the release of the realme Book is the company’s latest smartphone, the realme GT Master Edition. It’s a premium mid-range device that starts at a competitive price of PHP 18,990. But what else is there to like about this smartphone? Check out its best features below.

Suitcase Design

Most smartphones nowadays look alike, which makes them less likely to stand out or represent your personality. But that’s not an issue with the realme GT Master Edition, thanks to its suitcase-inspired design by Naoto Fukusawa, one of the world’s most influential designers.

The design is something you can see and feel. It features this luggage-like structure and is made from vegan leather material. It even has a reflective realme branding with the signature of the designer (for the Voyager Grey). The design intends to remind the owner of the phone of the feelings one experiences when traveling.

For the colors, the realme GT Master Edition comes in Voyager Grey, which looks professional yet exciting, and Daybreak Blue that exudes colors inspired by nature, making it look youthful and calming.

120Hz Samsung AMOLED Fullscreen

For a mid-range smartphone, realme equipped the GT Master Edition with an excellent display. We’re talking about a 6.43-inch Samsung AMOLED Fullscreen display with Full HD+ resolution. In addition, it boasts a 120Hz refresh rate for some smooth visuals, a 360Hz touch sampling rate for very responsive gaming, 100% P3 wide color gamut, 1000 nits peak brightness, an excellent 91.7% screen-to-body ratio, and an in-display fingerprint scanner.

In other words, the realme GT Master Edition’s display can provide an immersive and fluid viewing experience when browsing, watching a video, viewing photos, or playing games.

Triple-rear cameras w/ Street Photography Mode

The realme GT Master Edition is a versatile shooter, thanks to its 64MP main, 8MP ultra-wide, and 2MP macro. However, smartphones with multiple camera setups are common, so what makes this device stand out is Street Photography Mode.

Once activated, the camera UI changes into something focused and easier to use. You’ll have quick access to different focal lengths, provides you presets like DIS (Dynamic Image Snapshot) for quick shots, Instant Focus, and Quick Zoom functions, which can come in handy when you’re shooting in the streets, and a set of exclusive street photography filters to make your photos look more authentic and raw.

Other features include 9248×6936 high-resolution capture, Pro Nightscape Mode, Dynamic Bokeh, and Neon Portrait. For selfies, expect sharp photos even in dim conditions with the 32MP Sony Selfie camera.

Robust hardware w/ RAM Expansion

Powering the realme GT Master Edition is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 5G SoC with an Adreno 642L GPU, 8GB of RAM, and 128/256GB of storage. This is a powerful configuration, even for a mid-range device. There’s even a GT Mode that you can switch on to boost the device’s performance, especially when gaming. We ran AnTuTu v9 on it, and we got a score of 536,893.

The GT Master also has ‘RAM expansion,’ which means that a portion of the storage (2GB, 3GB, or 5GB) is set aside to function in tandem with the actual RAM to help dump less critical tasks, and let you have more apps cached and available when you need them.

In our experience, we’re glad to say that this phone delivers flagship-grade performance for day-to-day use. Multitasking is a breeze, and it can easily handle heavy tasks and gaming with rare stutters.

65W SuperDart Charge

The realme GT Master Edition is equipped with a large 4,200mAh battery to handle heavy usage. However, while it can last long, its charging time should be the opposite. In this case, it supports realme’s 65W SuperDart Charge that can replenish the battery to 100% in a little over 30 minutes. And to keep things cool, it also has a large vapor chamber having an area of 1729.8mm, combining with a super large heatsink of an area of 13217mm, covering 100% of core heat sources.

Competitive Price

The realme GT Master Edition is priced at PHP 18,990 for the 8GB + 128GB model with a whole day flash day sale on September 24 for PHP 17,490 (PHP 1,500 off).

The 8GB + 256GB model, on the other hand, is priced at PHP 21,990 with a whole day flash sale price of PHP 19,990 (PHP 2,000 off) on September 24.

There’s also an offline pre-order from September 24 to October 1 (with free realme Smart Scale) for the 8GB + 256GB model for PHP 21,990. Pre-ordered units may be claimed on October 2 and 3.

Given the prices, the realme GT Master Edition provides premium specs and features without breaking the bank, making it a good option if you’re looking to upgrade.
