BlackBerry teases the Key2, announces launch date and location

BlackBerry is back in the game as they tease the successor to their iconic KeyOne device, the Key2. The once leading smartphone manufacturer posted a video in their official YouTube account, detailing the announcement date and location for the said phone.

The KeyOne was a controversial device thanks to it’s hybrid form factor — a combination of a touch screen and a candy bar QWERTY keypad. By the looks of the teaser, BlackBerry is retaining the hybrid form factor on the Key2, with the promise of “an icon reborn”. The company will reveal the device on June 7, 2018 at an unspecified location in New York. Apart from the date, location and parts of it’s design we saw above, nothing else was revealed.
