Cherry Mobile’s latest premium mid-range smartphone, the Flare S8 Plus, has launched and its specs are looking decent for its price. However, we must compare it to another mid-range contender from another famous brand — Realme. Today in specs comparison, I will put Cherry Mobile‘s phone against the Realme 3 Pro and see which one has the upper hand in each smartphone aspect. Let’s start!

Here are the advantages of each smartphone:
In terms of display, both devices are favorable in different perspectives. If you’re fond of watching videos and don’t want intrusive components blocking your viewing experience, the Flare S8 Plus is the better choice given its full-screen display. However, if you don’t you screen to be scratched easily, then I suggest that you go with the Realme 3 Pro given that it has a Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
For performance, Realme 3 Pro takes the cake in gaming while the Flare S8 Plus wins in CPU speed. We haven’t tested the benchmark scores of the Flare S8 Plus; fortunately, we already reviewed the VIVO V15 which has the same Helio P70 chipset. It shows that it has an AnTuTu score of 148,378, which is lower than the Snapdragon 710’s 154,400. We also ran a test in the PCMark Work 2.0 benchmark, and it turns out that the former has a score of 8,206 while the latter only has 6,618.
In terms of cameras, the Flare S8 Plus has a triple rear shooter configuration which means that it provides more camera functionality than the Realme 3 Pro. However, we don’t know yet which photo quality is better between the two. Cherry Mobile hasn’t also released the aperture of its lenses, so there’s that.
The Flare S8 Plus has a pop-up front camera mechanism with a 16MP main and a dedicated 2MP sensor which is suitable for bokeh effects. We’ll know its selfie quality once we get our hands on both devices.
For battery performance, the Realme 3 Pro carries a larger battery capacity with fast charging capability. This phone is a better pick, especially when it comes to people who are fond of traveling because it charges quicker and lasts longer than the Flare S8 Plus.
Here are the prices of each smartphone:
When it comes to gaming, more updated Bluetooth version, and battery life with fast charging capability, the Realme 3 Pro is the better pick. However, when it comes to a better viewing experience and CPU performance, then the Cherry Mobile Flare S8 Plus is the better pick for that.
