Cherry Mobile to debut Desire series of Smartphones

Cherry Mobile’s 2017 Festival is in full swing, and so are the new devices that are expected to be launched this summer season. Such is the new Desire series of smartphones which tout 700MHz LTE connectivity. among other features.

First off the list is the Desire R7, which has a 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage combo tucked beneath a 5.5-inch HD screen.

Next is the R7 Plus, which resembles the R7 in a lot of ways except for the tiniest details: the front camera and sensors are reversed, and so is the placement of the headphone jack. The rear camera flash is also moved to the side instead of the bottom.

Lastly, the high-spec R8 features dual rear cameras, similar to the Flare P series of smartphones. It’s also priced a lot more than the R7 series, so we could only expect a lot from this other than the fact that it has a physical home button.

There are also two other devices that are bound to be less expensive than these two as seen on the Needrom website: an R7 Mini and an R7 Lite. We’ll keep you posted on developments from this series as they happen.

We’ve first spotted these playing at a Cherry Mobile store’s LED panel yesterday.

For the meantime, these three new smartphones from Cherry Mobile’s Desire series — R7, R7 Plus, and R8 — will be on sale in Cherry Mobile stores this Q2 sporting Php4,999, Php5,999, and Php9,999 price tags, respectively.
