While not much has changed from its predecessors in terms of looks, one of the key-defining features of the Galaxy S25 Series’ design is the distinctive metal rings around the camera lenses. These rings give the lenses a larger appearance, and arguably, a more premium look.
However, YouTuber JerryRigEverything exposes a caveat with the rings in question: these can be easily detached.

In his latest durability test, the YouTuber mentioned that the camera rings on the Galaxy S25 Ultra are glued into place “like a pair of fake eyelashes” as they easily fall off just by using a razor blade.
The rings themselves are not attached to the camera lenses but rather mounted on the back glass. Under normal usage, however, the rings shouldn’t detach.

Aside from that, there were a few more issues that JerryRigEverything also brought to light about the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
The screen apparently has lower scratch resistance, as it started showing scratches at level six (on the Mohs hardness scale), despite its supposed Gorilla Glass Armor 2 upgrade. Last year’s Galaxy S24 Ultra showed scratches at level seven.
Next, the Samsung logo on the rear was misaligned in his test unit. Although he pointed out that the issue could be a manufacturing defect, it could be an isolated case.
Notably, the YouTuber also pointed out the new S-Pen’s lack of Bluetooth connectivity. He snapped the stylus in half only to find an empty battery compartment.
We previously reported on the S-Pen losing its wireless features for the Galaxy S25 Ultra, and it turned out to be true.
Lastly, the titanium material is apparently limited to just the phone’s frame—the side buttons, unfortunately, are not made of titanium.
On the bright side, despite all these issues, the Galaxy S25 Ultra fortunately passed JerryRigEverything’s bend test. Readers may watch the full durability test below:
