GrabPay to launch in the Philippines

Grab will be bringing their own e-wallet feature called GrabPay, the same system they use in their ride-hailing app, in the Philippines soon. This feature will allow users to pay for restaurants, services, and other merchants electronically via QR code payment. It works similarly with existing e-wallet platforms in the country like GCash.

To top up prepaid load through Grabpay, users can follow these steps:

Along with this feature is a new app called Grab Superapp which enables quick access of GrabPay wallet, Grab services, and personalized news feeds where they can check news, reviews, entertainment, nearby restaurant recommendations, play games, and exclusive deals from shops. It will be available in the Philippines by October 8, 2018.

In a recent announcement by Huey Tyng Ooi, Managing Director of GrabPay, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, and Vietnam already has GrabPay. The Philippines will be the fifth country to receive this platform.
