Lenovo K900 hits the local stores

One of the highly-anticipated (and debated, if I may add) Android smartphone – the Lenovo K900 – has finally hit the local shelves and is priced at Php22,999USD 392INR 33,224EUR 373CNY 2,854, which is 1K more than what we predicted.

We saw it being displayed at Lenovo’s concept store at CyberZone in SM Megamall and some other retail store in the vicinity.

As mentioned earlier, this Atom-powered handset can be had for twenty-three grand and change in cash or three months deferred payment. You can also avail of the six or twelve months installment option, but it’ll incur an additional Php500USD 9INR 722EUR 8CNY 62 and Php1000USD 17INR 1,445EUR 16CNY 124 fee respectively.

Apart from asking the SRP, we also want to lay the heated microSD card debate once and for all. However, as luck would have it, neither the Lenovo rep and the rep from the other retailer weren’t able to confirm if the local has such component. Oh well, I guess the discussion lives another day.

sabi ng isang nakabili ng k900 sa lenovo mobile philipines FB group, wala daw talaga SD card slot (yan sabi niya eh. pero baka di lang niya nakita ang sd slot. di natin alam hehe) pero meron na daw itong preinstalled play store app. kaya posibleng panalo si abuzalzal sa debate. hahaha

Fortunately, I just got word from Lenovo Philippines that the K900 that will arrive in our country has a MicroSD slot. All of your worries should disappear now.

Yep.very weak din siya sa ibang benchmarks , this really shows that the dual Atom isn’t close to being called a threat even against the snapdragon 600.

They stll have the quad core version up their sleeves though, but doubt it kung mare remedyohan nila ito sa smartphone devices not unless gumamit sila ng pagka laki laking battery

I would have buy his phone but here are some bottle necks I see

– Intel Clover Trail + is sure to get better in due time (4 months I guess)
– No Micro SD Slot
– No NFC
– No LTE (Cause its Intel, wait for Baytrail)
– Based from previous lenovo phones, NOT EVEN ONE had any OS update so I’m not confident lenovo can provide the K900 updates. Their K860 is still ICS until now…

The specs are superb except for those, something you can buy now with an S4 / Xperia Z at the same price range
