LG intros new design language for upcoming smartphone

Listen to article

LG Electronics has introduced a new minimalistic design language for its upcoming smartphone.

The new design shows triple rear cameras and the LED flash in a linear arrangement, which LG calls the “Raindrop”. The main camera sits slightly above the surface while the two other lenses lie under the glass backside. It will also have the 3D Arc Design where the edges of the display and rear are symmetrically curved.

“Our upcoming smartphone will draw on the rich history of classic LG designs which have always been distinctive at first touch,” said vice president Cha Yong-duk, head of LG’s Mobile Communications Design Lab. “This handset will be a first-look at the competitive edge we will be bringing to every LG smartphone going forward.”

LG should get back in the Philippine market someday, it would be nice to have a choice of Korean flagships besides Samsung.
