Meizu has officially shared a new teaser image of its next smartphone release: the Meizu 22. The said image reveals the front design of the upcoming model, sporting a relatively thin, uniform white bezels.

The brand is reportedly set to break records with the world’s thinnest symmetrical bezels, measuring just 1.2 mm on all sides.

Notably, having white bezels usually lead to lower production yields and quality control issues.

To make this possible, the company’s research and development arm reportedly developed a new LIPO process and used a six-layer treatment method to improve production quality.

Although, they admit this has led to higher failure rates during development.

While Meizu hasn’t confirmed the screen size yet, the phone is expected to be on the compact side.

The device, listed under model number ‘M582Q’ in the CMIIT database. It is said to come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Leading Version SoC, a periscope telephoto camera, and a 5500mAh battery.

Earlier this year, Meizu hinted at changes in its approach to mobile photography, starting with the Meizu 22 Series. The company is also moving away from using “Pro” or “Standard” labels and is expected to introduce a new naming format for this lineup.

Meizu has yet to make an official announcement regarding the Meizu 22 launch schedule. Stay tuned!
