Meizu has just unveiled its latest budget-oriented handset that still has the looks and features you’ll want.

The Meizu M5 comes with a 5.2-inch HD display and is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor clocked at 1.5GHz. It’s got up to 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The body of the phone has a 2.5D glass on top of the display and an mTouch 2.1 fingerprint reader that’s equipped to unlock in 0.2 seconds.

Camera-wise, it’s got a 13MP main shooter with PDAF (phase detection autofocus) with dual-tone LED flash and a 5MP selfie camera. Inside is a 3,070mAh battery and it runs Flyme UI on top of Yun OS, which is based on the Android Open Source Project.

The Meizu M5 comes in Mint Green, Glacier White, Champanage Gold, Sapphire Blue and Matte Black colors and is priced at 699 yuan (~Php5k) for the 2GB RAM with 16GB storage version and 899 yuan (~Php6.5k) for the 3GB RAM with 32GB storage variant. Orders start immediately in China with sale coming this month. Global availability is yet to be announced.
