Nothing OS 4 based on Android 16 has been rolled out with the Nothing Phone (3) first to receive the update. It brings new Glyph tools, updates to dark mode, and smoother performance.

Notably, the Phone (3) comes with a few exclusive features. This includes Flip to Glyph, which offers more user control. There’s also improvements to Pocket Mode and two new Glyph animations called Hourglass and Lunar Cycle.
In addition, the Mirror Selfie got updated and now lets users save mirrored and original versions of taken photos. Interested readers may check out our review on the Nothing Phone (3) to see how it generally fared before the update.
To recap, it retails for PHP 44,999 with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. It’s also available for PHP 50,999 with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. The device can be found via Digital Walker and open_source stores in the Philippines.
For general changes, there’s more widget sizes for Screen Time, Pedometer, and Weather.
There’s also Pop-Up View, which lets users allow two apps to be used as floating windows running at once. For system-wide changes, there’s Live Updates. This offers real-time information like deliveries, timers, and rides on your lock screen and Glyph Interface.
Extra Dark Mode was also tweaked to have deeper blacks, hence, lower power consumption. Lastly, motion and haptic feedback were tuned to run smoothly via gestures, app transitioning, and volume adjustments.
For those wondering, the update will be rolled out to other Nothing and CMF devices soon. While the company hasn’t shared a timeline for the updates, it will be staged, which could take a while before it gets around.
