OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition debuts

The OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition has made its debut along with the Ace 5 Ultra. This offering packs the biggest battery ever found on a OnePlus smartphone.

It boasts a massive 7,100mAh silicon-carbon battery. This is paired with 80W of SUPERVOOC fast charging and bypass charging support.

Of course, we have yet to find out how good it actually is. However, the company says it’s good for up to seven (7) hours of gameplay with popular titles at full frame rate. It’s also rated for twenty-six (26) hours of watching videos continuously.

At the front, it has a 6.77-inch AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz supporting FHD+ resolution. Under the hood, it sports a Dimensity 9400e with up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage.

Similar to the Ultra model, it’s also equipped with the G1 connectivity chip. There’s also a large 7000 sq. mm vapor chamber for thermals.

For cameras, users get a 50-megapixel main shooter paired with a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor at the rear. For selfies, there’s a 16-megapixel snapper situated at the top of the display panel.

The OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition starts at CNY 1,799 (~PHP 14K) with 12GB/256GB. At the time of writing, it’s currently listed in China. We’ll update readers should this device be arriving on Philippine shores.

Communication graduate, closet cynic, and kid at heart. Duane is a rare person to find, quite literally. He often takes to himself but has proven his mettle in tech media with his quick wits. Well, the portfolio of scriptwriting, web content, and public relations help too, we suppose. As a homebody, he often spends his time on the streaming platform Twitch or ‘farming’ gaming clips with friends. He is also an avid fan of round glasses and anything relative to blueberries.
