OPPO A5 (5G) goes official in China

Shortly after the Philippine release of the OPPO A5 Pro 5G (and its 4G variant), the brand has also introduced the OPPO A5.

It features a different design and runs on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC. Notably, it sports a 6.7-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display. That is something the OPPO A5 Pro 5G didn’t have as it featured an HD+ IPS LCD screen despite its ‘Pro’ moniker.

Although, the difference might have something to do with regional variants. It is likely that the OPPO A5 could go by a different name once it releases outside of China, but that remains to be seen.

Going back to the spec sheet, the OPPO A5 has dual rear cameras with a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 6500mAh battery with 45W charging, and IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
