Local Apple product distributor and service center Power Mac Center has started to accept iPhone battery replacements at a lower fee, following the global rollout of the Cupertino brand’s announcement of the program.
The program was initially launched in the US a few weeks ago after admitting that it throttles the battery capacity of older iPhones for security and safety reasons, often resulting in slowdowns.
Interested iPhone owners who want to have their older iPhone battery replaced may proceed to a Power Mac Service Center and have their unit diagnosed by their Apple-certified service engineers. Power Mac also reminds to bring their proof of purchase (box and invoice) for a faster transaction, though this may be optional as they can check the serial on their database. Replacement for the battery starts at Php1,500, as it may vary among other local service centers.
