Samsung Galaxy and S8+ Android 8.0 Oreo Update Rollout Resumes

Official Android 8.0 Oreo update for Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus has resumed after a brief suspension following a limited number of cases where some devices have rebooted after installation of the update, Samsung had recently suspended the rollout.

The new firmware brings the latest Samsung Experience 9.0 with software version up to G950FXXU1CRB7 for the S8 and G955XXU1CRB7 for the S8+. For users who had installed the previous update, the new version weighs around 530MB. However, if the smartphone still runs Samsung Experience 8.0 based on Android 7.0 Nougat, then definitely it is a more larger download.

To check for updates head on over to your device’s settings and check under “Software Update”.
