Samsung Galaxy J3 Pro now official

The upgrade to the J3 2016 of the South Korean tech giant becomes official as it gets posted on Samsung’s Chinese website.

The Samsung Galaxy J3 Pro offers bigger memory, more storage, and better cameras over the previous version. From 1.5GB, we now have 2GB of RAM while storage is doubled to 16GB and still retains the microSD card slot for expansion. Camera-wise, we now have an 8MP rear shooter and a 5MP selfie cam.

Other that these upgrades, everything is the same including the 5-inch 720p Super AMOLED display, 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 chipset, and Dual-SIM capabilities with LTE connectivity. Despite the upgrade and the ‘Pro’ moniker, software version remains with the dated Android 5.1 Lollipop.

The Samsung Galaxy J3 Pro is priced at CNY 990 (~Php 7k) and will be sold through China Telecom. International availability is yet to be confirmed.

  1. I think Galaxy S3 (from several years ago) has better specs.
