SE Xperia X10 Mini, Mini Pro goes on sale!

So the wait is over — Sony Ericsson Philippines today launched two entry-level Android smartphones during the Sony Ericsson Expo in Megamall — the Xperia X10 Mini and the Mini Pro.

And when Sony Ericsson said it is the “world’s smallest Android phone”, they are somewhat right — this phone is… petite. Just look at the photos here.

Sony Ericsson XPeria X10 Mini & Mini Pro
2.55″ touch screen @ 240×320 pixels
Qualcomm MSM7227 600MHz
128MB internal memory
up to 16GB via microSD card
3G/HSDPA
WiFi 802.11 b/g
Bluetooth 2.1
5MP autofocus camera w/ LED flash
GPS w/ aGPS support
Android OS 1.6 w/ TimeScape UI

Here’s a short clip we uploaded to YouTube, just to show you how it looks like. Notice the 6 dots on top of the screen — that represents the number of Home Screens (the bigger Xperia X10 only has 3).

And though I reported here earlier that he suggested retail price is Php16,990 and Php17,990, the prices we canvassed with the stores at the Expo were way lower — we saw one stall selling the X10 Mini for Php14,900 and the X10 Mini Pro for Php15,300.

The Sony Ericsson Expo starts today until Sunday at the Megatrade Hall 3, Building B, MegaMall. Check out more about the deals and prices here.

  1. cool! medyo nag lower price na pala sila. sa Dubai kasi nabili lang sya ng bayaw ko ng 13K. much cheaper sa w995.

  2. @abeolandres Sony Ericssons are cheaper here in the Philippines compared to Hong Kong

  3. Not bad! This could be a better deal than getting a BlackBerry Curve 8250. :)

  4. I’ve read in the official SE blog that 2.1 is coming to x10 minis this q3.. but I doubt it will give justice to that small screen resolution. anyway the price is very competitve!! I want the pro!!

  5. @lawrence thanks, and i agree, the resolution might be an issue. Its now this or the spica.

  6. It looks small for my palm so I’d rather wait for the release of XPERIA X8 here. :D

  7. Hi Limehouse, what wifi issues are you having?

  8. Got the x10 mini pro 2 days ago. Experiencing loose back cover on one corner near the USB port. Should I simply buy a new back cover for that perfect fit? Kasi sayang the camera, blurry ang images ko dahil di firm ang grasp ko whenever I click the cam. Also, texting is a torture kasi loose ang likod.

  9. What’s the current price ng x10 mini pro? I’m planning to buy one.. Mas mumura kaya sya sa january hehe :)

  10. Anybody know where I could buy an original back cover for my SE X10 Mini Pro as well as screen protector and casing. I do prefer the branded ones… Thanks!

  11. I want to buy a spare back case on my x10 mini pro anyone knows were could i buy one near in manila ,it would be much appriciated thank you.

well on my experience this phone is one of the best thing ever happened to me i sold my itouch 4g and bought this small baby…my first impresion about the UI is not that good .and i thought that was it but then an update came and i said WOW it change everything theres live wallpaper its the best and not just that im able to watch naruto episoddes for free with an app a
i downloaded, i also able to play gameboy games like pokemon, and im able to download songs directly on this baby and able to open web pages on desktop mode not in mobile mode……………..all in all its the best among d rest better than iphone..the camera is also great..

the only thing im sad about this device,it has it all except for a flash player…i wish on the next update they should enable and unlock it…adobe flash player i mean

  12. Does the anime android app work well for x10mpro? If yes, is the subtitle readable? I prefer watching raw episodes because english dubbers suck. Lol. TIA.

  13. i hope that the os update will solve the short battery life problem..

  14. i have the xperia x10mini,, and i love it

  15. Spot on with this write-up, I truly suppose this web site wants far more consideration. I’ll in all probability be again to learn rather more, thanks for that info.

  16. I have sony ericsson xperia x10 mini pro and I love it !!!
