Sony announces Xperia phones to get Android Oreo

This is the moment you’ve all been waiting for: Sony has announced the official Xperia devices to get the next-generation Android Oreo mobile operating system.

Here is the official list of Sony’s Xperia devices that will get the sweet treat:

• Xperia X Performance
• Xperia XZ
• Xperia X Compact
• Xperia XZ Premium
• Xperia XZs
• Xperia XA1
• Xperia XA1 Ultra
• Xperia Touch
• Xperia XA1 Plus

Android Oreo brings in a slew of new features such as enhanced protection, better memory management with background processes, and a picture-in-picture mode for better multitasking. These smartphones will join the recently-announced Xperia XZ1 and XZ1 Plus which will be shipping with Android Oreo right out of the box.
