Sony introduces Xperia Z1 Compact

Sony has introduced the mini version of the Xperia Z1 flagship that packs a smaller display but carries a powerful 20.7 megapixel camera, the Xperia Z1 Compact.

The Xperia Z1 Compact bears everything that makes the Xperia Z1 flagship standout: a premium aluminum body that is dustproof and waterproof, a 20.7 megapixel f/2.0 camera with 1/2.3″ Exmor RS mobile image sensor, 2.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU, 2GB of RAM, and Android 4.3 Jellybean.

The difference now is that the Compact sports a smaller 4.3-inch HD (1280 x 720) TRILUMINOS display with X-Reality at 342ppi, a smaller battery at 2,300mAh, and a thicker (9.5mm) but lighter (137g) body than the Z1.

  1. Akala ko hindi ka na darating, napa-apply na tuloy ako ng z1. Sana mabenta ko z1 pagdating mo! haha

Can someone confirm if IPS yung display at kung may IOS siya?

    • Sony does’nt use ips nor amoled because they have their own display which is triluminos with X-reality display for mobile. Get it?!?!? :@

    • @shining shimering – kindly read the 2nd page of my link, it uses an IPS panel with triluminous display tech and X-reality is an image processing engine not a type of display. if you have no knowledge with different display panels just buzz off. – P.S. Please check your grammar before posting.

  2. sayang hindi na retain yung 3,000mAh battery hehe’

  3. Finally , an Xperia with an iPS display!

They need to ditch their crappy TFT tech., honestly it’s really going nowhere.

    • Sony’s still doing that display lottery thing :/ good thing my Z1 came with the better quality panel :)

  4. papatok to panigurado lalo na sa mga gusto magxperia z1 kaso nalalakihan sa handset…atleast to mas maliit n hahaha

  5. I think this is more expensive, try LG smartphones, better product quality and performance :)

    • Yup but sucks on update
G2 lng ata ang nakarating sa 4.3 or baka nga 4.4 na
Compare sa sony yung mga 2012 flagship nka 4.3 na at halos lahat ng 2013 lineup nka 4.3 na din!!!

      Sony for life

  6. Mobile colored phones aren’t very necessary as window cases are usually provided by the manufacturer :)
