Starmobile didn’t provide much info on their teaser release but after some digging and cross-referencing with press renders provided by Rappler, we believe that it’s a rebranded Intex Aqua i17 which was launched in India last month.

The battery is 2,600 mAh and not 2,300 mAh as stated in this yugatech article. Otherwise, it is a disaster.

whats the use of octa-core kung ang battery ay 2,300mAh at 3G lang. pfth!
kim says:
expect the CRAZY UNJUSTIFIED price kaya congrats sa bibili hahaha
abuzalzal says:
There’s a reason why they didn’t announce the price lmao
It is ”almost” a certainty that this phone is gonna be one of the most expensive first wave of Octa device this coming January, karera sila ng O +, hahaha
Mag HUWAWEI na lang kayo…ALCATEL idol X+ could’ve been an excellent choice, but they blew it due to the lack of storage expandabillity.

o says:
That octa core is very misleading. It’s an ARM big.Little architecture. Four cortex A7s and four cortex A9 or A15 cores. The A7s run when minimal CPU is required, switching to the more powerful cores when needed.
So it is really a four core CPU.
The Exynos 5 Octa uses the same scheme. Supposedly all 8 cores will soon be usable, good news for us Galaxy S4 users.
http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2013/09/samsungs-exynos-5-octa-will-be-able-to-use-all-eight-of-its-cores-in-q4/
But the A7 cores are much weaker than the A15 cores that I don’t think it’s relevant.

Don’t count on it StarMobile. this is just building hype and giving false hopes to buyers. I’ve seen this marketing ploy with the SM Knight, which is over-hyped and no availability nationwide. Starmobile’s logistics cannot equate with their marketing. Meaning, Launch Date to Rlease Date is too long. When SM Knight arrived in store here in cagayan de oro, it never sold out because it was over shadowed by the arrival of the CM Cosmos X2. Cherry mobile’s just lurking behind this marketing, I bet my neck that Cherry “CAN” release and make available an Octacore phone before SM X1 reaches stores.

Not impressed with the battery in such. Better make it bigger starmobile.
randolf balmaceda says:

Heckler says:
Alam niyo naman siguro na yung octacore na yan eh supposedly, mas matipid sa battery no?
