Spotted at one of the stores in VirraMall earlier today is the newly released T-Mobile G2. Released early this month in the US, under T-Mobile the G2 is the successor to the first Google G1 Android Phone back in 2008.

This is also the same model as the HTC Desire Z to be launched in the Philippines next month.

T-Mobile G2 (a.k.a. HTC Desire Z)
3.7″ capacitive screen @ 480×800 pixels
Qualcomm MSM 7230 800MHz processor
QWERTY keyboard
4GB internal storage
512MB RAM

Just like the first one, the T-Mobile G2 was also manufactured by HTC exclusively for T-Mobile. The full qwerty keyboard slides out from the back and locks into the side of the screen.

How is the build quality of the hinges? I’m undecided between this (Desire Z) and the Desire HD. I’m leaning towards the Z, because of the QWERTY keyboard, and what will most likely be better battery life. However, the design of the hinge looks like it will be the weak spot in an otherwise amazing phone.

Saw someone selling it at 31k (neg) also at sulit. Didn’t bother to ask for the last price as I might get tempted. Also waiting for WP7 devices.

Saw someone selling it for 31k (neg) also at sulit.com.ph. Didn’t bother asking for the last price as I might get tempted. Waiting for a windows phone 7 kasi though I’m still torn between this and an HTC mozart. Would have preferred the latter to have a keyboard too.
