One of Vivo’s entry-level contenders, the Y53, finally joins the club of devices with the Face ID feature. The feature came with the recent update of the Funtouch OS. It’s actually quite interesting that they updated this device as it is almost a year old now.

Vivo is no stranger to face unlock as their more prominent mid-rangers like the V7, V7+, and V9 already have this feature. Now, the entry-level segment in Vivo’s offerings gets to enjoy the same treatment as the others. For a little refresher, the Y53 is one of Vivo’s more affordable offerings last year and sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor, 2GB of RAM, and 16G of Storage. It has a very enticing price of Php 5,990.
