Vivo is set to unveil its first smartphone featuring the new In-Display Fingerprint Scanning Technology supported by Synaptics at CES 2018 in Las Vegas.

The said smartphone is currently unnamed as of the moment but according to Vivo, its availability will be announced in early 2018.

Last year, Vivo, together with Qualcomm, has also showcased ‘Under Display Fingerprint Scanning Solution’ at the Mobile World Congress 2017 in Shanghai. It was demonstrated running on prototype devices based on the existing Vivo Xplay 6 smartphones.

Vivo claims that it will be the ‘brand’s first ready-to- produce smartphone featuring an industry-leading in-display fingerprint sensor’.
