The arrival of Xiaomi HyperOS 3 was confirmed by the company via Weibo posts. The next major OS update for Xiaomi is set to be unveiled on August 28, 2025 27.

In light of this, the company also dismissed reports of releasing it as HyperOS 26. In addition, the new software update will be based on Android 16.

The announcement will take place at an event in China. Xiaomi executive Lu Weibing also mentioned that HyperOS 3 focuses on improving UI smoothness 20 and responsiveness.

The beta version of HyperOS 3 will be available immediately after the launch for select devices in China. The rollout includes the Xiaomi 15 Series, Redmi K80 Pro and Ultimate Edition, the Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro 12.5, and Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro.

Interested users may sign up through the Xiaomi Community Internal Test Center if they want to try the beta version out.
