Unlike the Mi Note 10 which also had a 108 main sensor, the Snapdragon 865 chipset used offers a lot of improvements to the camera’s AI. Not only is the Mi 10 able to capture better photos, but it also supports the HEIF (High-Efficiency Image File) file format which reduces the file size of photos by over 50% while maintaining the same image quality. Check out the sample photos from the 108MP camera uploaded by Venkatesh Babu.G (@smartvenkat95) on Twitter.

The Snapdragon 865 chipset, latest LPDDR5 RAM, and UFS 3.0 also reduces the time it takes for users to capture photos and save them onto the device. Take a look at the camera speed teaser from Sparrows News below:

Lastly, the Mi Note 10 is also capable of shooting 8K videos using the 108MP lens with cinema mode built-in. To showcase the Mi 10’s video capabilities, Xiaomi released a video shot by Frederic Van Strydonk highlighting the Mi 10’s ability to capture detail, depth of field, and low light exposure.

The Xiaomi Mi 10 is scheduled to be unveiled in China on February 13, and globally on February 23. Stay tuned for official specs, pricing, and availability.
