Here are the advantages of each smartphone:

Xiaomi Mi A3

  • Higher main rear camera resolution
  • Dedicated ultra-wide-angle lens
  • Higher front camera resolution
  • IR Blaster
  • USB Type-C
  • Stock Android

Realme 3 Pro

  • Larger screen size
  • FHD+ screen resolution
  • Faster CPU speed (based on clock speed)
  • Better performing GPU
  • Larger maximum RAM variant
  • Dedicated microSD card slot
  • Faster charging speed

Starting with the most puzzling aspect in this comparison is display. The Xiaomi Mi A3 has an unusual configuration due to its HD+ resolution. The Realme 3 Pro, on the other hand, has FHD+ and larger screen size, making it better in terms of the viewing experience. What’s good here, however, is that both of them have Corning Gorilla Glass 5 that protects the screen in case you accidentally drop or scratch it.

In terms of performance, the Realme 3 Pro has a faster CPU clock speed while its gaming capability is better than the Mi A3. We’ve yet to know how the latter fares in various benchmarking apps, however, if we ever get one, we’ll let you know its scores. Multitasking-wise, the former has a 6GB of RAM which is better than 4GB.

For the camera department, the Mi A3 has a higher camera resolution with a dedicated ultra-wide-angle lens. It also has a higher selfie shooter resolution which could potentially be better than the Realme 3 Pro. However, a higher camera resolution does not always mean that the photo quality is better. The former’s setup is ideal if you are fond of taking photos. We’ve yet to know how well both devices perform, though.

In terms of features, the Mi A3 has an IR Blaster, USB Type-C connectivity, and Stock Android skin. If you are into a simplistic user interface and want that vanilla UI goodness, you know which one to choose. Although, if you wish to expandable storage, go with the Realme 3 Pro that has a dedicated microSD card slot.

Both devices have above 4,000mAh battery, which is pretty decent. The Realme 3 Pro has a faster-charging speed, but it’s quite trivial if we put it in real-world situations.

Here are the prices of each smartphone:

  • Xiaomi Mi A3 – PHP 11,990
  • Realme 3 Pro 4GB + 64GB – PHP12,990
  • Realme 3 Pro 6GB + 128GB – PHP14,990

If you’re into photography, USB Type-C, In-Display fingerprint scanner, and you want to have a Stock Android experience, go for the Xiaomi Mi A3. Viewing experience and performance-wise, pick the Realme 3 Pro.

  1. question, what does hybrid and dedicated denote regarding sd cards?

    • Hybrid means the 2nd slot is for you to choose if you want a sim card inserted or an sd card for added storage. There is no dedicated sd card slot.
