Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 specs and price leak

Believed to be making its official launch tomorrow, August 13, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 had its list of specs and pricing posted at online retailer Oppomart  for all to see.

5.5-inch 2.5D Full HD display @ 1920 x 1080 resolution
Curved glass back cover
64-bit MediaTek octa-core processor
Adreno 405 GPU
2GB RAM
64GB internal storage
13MP rear camera with Sony IMX214 sensor and dual-tone LED flashes
5MP front camera
4G LTE-FDD
Android 5.1 with MIUI 7
3600mAh battery

As for the price, the leaked Redmi Note 2 will reportedly have a $199 tag or approximately Php9K when directly converted. With these internals and an affordable pricing, the company aims to give consumers an edge against other devices in the same specs category.

    Only Qualcomm makes Adreno GPUs.

    So that means Qualcomm X Mediatek partners confirmed!!!!!

    … okay, seriously the Helio X10/MT6795 uses the PowerVR G6200 as GPU.

  4. Adreno GPU on Mediatek??? Is this true??


    • Nope. Really, only Qualcomm puts its own GPU into its own chipset. That Adreno 405 is for Snapdragon 615 for now.

      Also, I’ve noticed that the “via” link goes to NDTV’s mistake about the GPU. It’s not really YugaTech’s fault here.
