FidelityFX Super Resolution 2,0 has been released with Adrenaline 22.31 graphics drivers. The new and updated version uses temporal upscaling techniques rather than spatial.
FSR 2.0 does not require AI-enabled hardware, therefore, can be used with older models and is not restricted to AMD GPUs either. AMD specifically notes that FSR 2.02 should work on Nvidia and Intel models, but did not provide any limitations. Additionally, AMD claims to provide similar or better than native image quality as a result of the optimized anti-aliasing method.
AMD provides a comparison between FSR 2.0, 4K naitve and FSR 1.0 quality and performance through side-by-side comparisons of screenshots and video footage from Deathloop.

FSR 2.0 is expected to be available in Q2 2022, with Deathloop being one of the first games to be updated to support FSR 2.0. Also, both FSR 1.0 and FSR 2.0 will be available as open-source solutions on GPUOpen for developers to integrate into their games, depending on their specific needs.
