The phenomenal Anne Curtis turned heads at the grand launch of the vivo V30 Series, held at The Manila Hotel on March 20th, 2024.

Anne’s enthusiasm for the phone was palpable. Accompanied by her “most favorite vivo phone to date,” the vivo V30 Pro, she made a grand entrance with a selfie alongside the delighted audience. Then took center stage to rave about her firsthand experience with the V30 Series’ exceptional capabilities.

“The capabilities are unmatched, allowing me to capture every detail and emotion effortlessly,” Anne remarked.
ZEISS x vivo V30 Series
Beyond the star power, the launch showcased the V30 Series’ technical prowess. Industry leaders from ZEISS, vivo HQ, and Manila Bulletin provided deep dives, shedding light into the phone’s innovative features.
A highlight was the collaboration with ZEISS, a powerhouse in optics with a legacy of 178 years. This partnership, dating back to 2020, brings top-notch mobile imaging technology. The V30 Series marks the first ZEISS co-engineered V Series smartphone to hit the Philippine market.
Marisa Weis, Head of Product and Category Management at ZEISS, emphasized the Filipinos’ potential in mobile photography, particularly portraiture. She said that the joint development is nothing less than to “enable users to create pro-level portraits.”

Keshav Chugh, vivo’s Product Manager for Image Cognition, echoed this sentiment. He walked the audience through the ZEISS Triple Main Camera and ZEISS lens simulations, highlighting his personal favorite — the ZEISS Biotar Style Bokeh for a touch of cinematic flair.

Bigger, better Aura Light 3.0
Chugh also unveiled Aura Light 3.0, vivo’s powerful light-filling tool designed to conquer tricky lighting conditions. Nightclubs, restaurants, bars — these places have awful lighting.
“Any camera will struggle in these challenging scenarios, so we try to solve this problem with the third generation of the Aura Light Portrait,” he explained.
Lastly, Art Samaniego, Manila Bulletin’s Senior Technology Officer, offered a well-rounded perspective. He praised not just the camera but the V30 Pro’s performance, display, and design.

“I believe the V30 Pro stands out because of these additional features, like the processor it is using, the display, and the battery life. Also, you can really see the commitment of vivo to give you not only a superior product but also a work of art,” Samaniego stated.
