Listen to article

Apple Fitness+ is starting 2026 with new workout programs and content aimed at helping users stay active and build healthy habits beginning January 5.

Apple announced that subscribers will get access to four new workout programs designed for people returning to exercise or looking for a more regular routine. These programs include strength training, HIIT, and yoga, with sessions spread across several weeks to make workouts easier to follow and maintain.

One program focuses on easing users back into fitness, while another teaches the basics of strength training over three weeks. Apple is also adding short combined strength and HIIT workouts, as well as a four-week yoga plan meant to help users practice more consistently.

To help users stay on track, Apple Fitness+ now allows members to create custom workout plans. Users can choose their workout days, preferred workout types, duration, music, and trainers. This feature aims to make exercise schedules easier to manage.

Apple is also expanding entertainment content inside the app. New Time to Walk episodes will feature actors and musicians, while upcoming Artist Spotlight workouts will include music from KAROL G and Bad Bunny.

Users with Apple Watch or AirPods Pro 3 can see live workout stats on screen, including heart rate and calorie burn.

Apple Fitness+ is available on iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV.
