ASUS ROG Phone 3, ROG Phone 3 Strix Edition, now official

ASUS has finally launched the successor to its ROG Phone 2 gaming smartphone, the ROG Phone 3, and the more affordable variant, the ROG Phone 3 Strix Edition.

The ASUS ROG Phone 3 sports an upgraded 6.59-inch AMOLED display, now capable of running at 144Hz, with 10-bit color, DCI-P3, and HDR10+ support. It features the latest flagship from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 865+ chipset, paired with up to 16GB of RAM, and 512GB UFS 3.1.

The cameras have also been improved, now sporting a triple rear camera system with the 64MP Sony IMX686 sensor as its primary camera, alongside a 13MP ultra-wide and 5MP macro shooter. Sitting up front is a 24MP selfie camera.

The more affordable Strix Edition, on the other hand, features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset, 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM, 256GB UFS 3.1.

The ASUS ROG Phone 3 and ROG Phone 3 Strix Edition are priced in Europe as follows:

  • ASUS ROG Phone 3 (16GB + 512GB) – EUR 1,099
  • ASUS ROG Phone 3 (12GB + 512GB) – EUR 999
  • ASUS ROG Phone 3 Strix Edition (8GB + 256GB) – EUR 799
