ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) today announced the new ROG Strix series gaming monitors, XG27UCS and XG27ACS. These gaming monitors feature a new stand design with a smaller footprint, a mobile device groove, USB-C® connectivity, and AI-powered GamePlus technology.

Rog Strix Xg27acs & Xg27ucs 1

The XG27UCS offers 4K 160 Hz visuals, while the XG27ACS delivers 1440p 180Hz gameplay. Both models feature a 1ms response time, NVIDIA® G-SYNC® compatibility, and HDR technology. The XG27ACS features the classic black ROG finish; an all-white model (XG27ACS-W) is also available for those with white-themed setups.

The ROG Strix XG27UCS and XG27ACS comes with an IPS panel that offers a 180Hz and 160Hz refresh rates respectively. They also have a 1ms GTG response time

G-SYNC compatibility and Extreme Low Motion Blur Sync (ELMB Sync) is also enabled in the XG27UCS and XG27ACS monitors. Additionally, both gaming monitors have DisplayHDR 400 certification and wide DCI-P3 gamut.

AI-powered GamePlus technology enables the monitor to analyze scenes in real-time and adjusts the GamePlus crosshair. Plus, there is also a Dynamic Shadow Boost feature to brighten dark areas without overexposing bright areas.

Both the XG27UCS and XG27ACS boast DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0, and USB Type-C (with DP Alt mode and Power Delivery) to support PCs, laptops, and gaming consoles. In addition, ASUS DisplayWidget Center software lets users adjust monitor settings with a mouse instead of the OSD menu. Users can access the calibration report within the OSD menu.

The XG27ACS is currently on shelves and has a starting price of US$269, while the upcoming XG27UCS will retail at US$449.
