No word as well on the Zenfone 2 Zoom, most probably due to its relatively high price.

We’ve got confirmation from Asus Philippines representatives that two variants of the Asus Zenfone 2 will be released in the Philippines this May — the ZE500CL and the ZE551ML.

Asus has also posted the specs and details of the two variants of the Zenfone 2 in their website, both of which will be launching in the Philippines next month.

The ZE500CL is basically a refresh of the Zenfone 5 with a few cosmetic changes and LTE support (although single SIM only).

The ZE551ML will come in a variety of configurations — from 16GB, 32GB and 64GB storage; to 2GB and 4GB RAM; and 1.8GHz or 2.3GHz processor.

There won’t be any ZE550ML planned release in the Philippines since the specs and pricing are too close and it might just be cannibalized by other variants.

what do you mean a slightly better processor on the ze500cl? Its exactly the same processor on the zenfone 5. One thing is only upgraded, its the LTE capability which for me is not a big deal. Its basically a downgrade from zenfone 5(single sim, 8GB rom) and eveything elese is just the same. Why did they even named this device zenfone 2?

***Im wondering why are they not releasing the ze500ml. Is it because they will priced the 2GB ZE551ML very affordable that they thought no ones gonna buy that version because of the price tag(i hope so)? If not, it would be a very huge disappointment from Asus PH. Thinking Positive parin ako na sana very affordable yung 2GB ZE551ML. version.

4gb ZE551ML at lazada is PHP 14,000 i think it will be lower since its the official ASUS PH release.

actually its the opposite, they’re ditching ze550ml because it will cannibalize the other variants, pinakasulit kasi un 9k vs ze551ml 2g at 12k.. 4g at 15k

Is this the official from Asus PH? The other post you have tells us that they will be releasing only the 2gb version of the ze551ml this coming May. Pero from the website the specs shown are for the 4gb version. So which is it?
