Binay vows free WiFi for PH if elected President

Listen to article

Vice President Jejomar Binay recently announced that he will provide free WiFi access for the whole country if elected President in 2016.

During a project launch at the Cavite State University campus in Rosario, VP Binay announced that he will provide free WiFi access across the country if he wins the 2016 presidential election.

“If I will be lucky to be the President next year, I will replicate the project of Gov. Jonvic here in Cavite and I will implement this in the entire country,” Binay said in a speech as reported by Inquirer.net. Binay is referring to Gov. Remulla’s Lingkod Kabitenyo project that provides free WiFi access in select schools and households in Cavite.

According to PhilStar, Binay also wants to partner with the private sector to increase the number and widen the reach of cell sites in the Philippines for faster internet connections. The VP also plans to create a Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) to oversee the improvement of communications infrastructure in the country.

No, thank you. Gov. Jonvic delivered free WiFi to Caviteños without something in exchange (like being the president). There will be a better opportunity in the future, please don’t be persuaded easily by politician’s promises, anyone can do that.

He said he’ll mimic the free wifi of Cavite, which is not totally even launched yet in all Public Schools in the Province but they plan on extending it to each household which will have 1 HOUR of WIFI Internet access PER DAY tsss…. well I guess its better than nothing. Still a big NO to tryhard Binay.

Definition of Free Wifi.

Consumer = UNLIMITED NON-THROTTLED CONNECTION OF SPEED OF 10MBPS.
Politics = LIMITED CONNECTION SPEED OF 256KBPS.
Private Sectors = 10 MB DATA PER WEEK.

A pathetic attempt to get the votes of millions of Filipinos especially the youth. Ugh. He can give away mobile phones for free and the people will still reject him.
