Listen to article

MangoAI and Cavalry have joined Canva’s expanding ecosystem with its fourth and fifth acquisitions in as many years. Earlier purchases of Affinity (2024), Leonardo (2024), and MagicBrief (2025) preceded the move.

The Cavalry 2D animation platform, which operates from the United Kingdom lets professional animators create animated content through its system, which extends Canva’s advanced design capabilities and Affinity’s image and vector design tools. The American startup MangoAI develops video advertising solutions which use artificial intelligence to enhance creative content, while their reinforcement learning system improves efficiency and reduces testing expenses.

Canva now serves over 265 million users worldwide because 95% of Fortune 500 companies have adopted its services. It closed 2025 with $4 billion in annualized revenue, which represented a 36% growth from the previous year, while the company had acquired more than 31 million paying customers.

The new features enable Canva to expand its artificial intelligence and animation capabilities, together with its marketing intelligence tools, across a single platform.
