CCP Grants outs program for Game Development, Animation, Comics

The Cultural Center of the Philippines is calling for submissions for the CCP Grants program for Game Development, Animation, and Comics.

In a post by the CCP on its official Facebook page, the CCP Grants program aims to preserve the country’s rich cultural heritage with its folktales, myths, and legends by producing original Filipino content for the Filipinos, by Filipinos.

Filipino content creators can pitch their ideas for the grant categories:

• Game Development – PHP 1.5 million
• Animation – PHP 2 million
• Comics – PHP 330,000

The CCP said that its Board of Trustees earmarked a total of PHP 20M development funding to stimulate the local creative economy by providing financial, technical, and educational support to local creative businesses, content developers, artists, and students while supporting and encouraging Filipinos to create original content for the preservation of cultural heritage.

The CCP Grants program is supported by the following associations namely the Creative Content Creators Association of the Philippines (SIKAP), Game Developers Association of the Philippines (GDAP), Animation Council of the Philippines (ACPI), and KOMIKET. Filipino individuals and organizations at all stages of their careers are invited to join.
