CIMB Bank Philippines will begin offering free fund transfers via InstaPay starting August 14, 2025.
According to the official advisory, CIMB customers will be entitled to two free InstaPay transactions per month. After that, succeeding transactions will incur a PHP 10 fee each.
Each InstaPay transfer is limited to a maximum of PHP 50,000 per transaction. For reference, the total limit for InstaPay transactions is limited to PHP 250,000 daily.
The move follows similar changes by other banks. BPI, for instance, has already implemented a permanent PHP 10 InstaPay transfer fee 14.
Below is an excerpt from the official advisory made by CIMB Bank 30.
‘Starting August 14, 2025, customers can do up to ten (10) InstaPay transactions daily. Each InstaPay transfer is capped at a maximum of PHP 50,000.00 per transaction. Only the first two (2) InstaPay transfers daily are free of charge with the succeeding InstaPay transactions to be charged PHP 10.00 per transaction.’
The headline is misleading. CIMB already offers FREE Instapay transfer even before, albeit only 5 transfers per day. But starting August 14, 2025, they will increase the free transfer limit up to 10.
