Alongside the CMF Phone 1 and Buds Pro 2, the company is also throwing the CMF Watch Pro 2 into the mix with an upcoming launch event on July 8. This follow-up to last year’s smartwatch offers a few improvements.
The most significant upgrade is the display. The Watch Pro 2 ditches the square-ish LCD in favor of a circular 1.32-inch AMOLED panel. It also gets an ambient light sensor for automatic brightness adjustment, a feature missing from the first Watch Pro.
The overall build remains largely unchanged, with a familiar aluminum alloy body and a digital crown on the right. New for this iteration is gesture control, but details are scarce.
Teaser images suggest a wrist-flicking motion that requires the user’s forearm to be parallel to their chest.
Perhaps, the most intriguing addition might be the interchangeable bezels. CMF hasn’t revealed much about the functionality, but early images showcase a glossy case with an orange leather strap.
This hints at similar customization options to the CMF Phone 1‘s interchangeable back panels.
Launch date, expected price
The CMF Watch Pro 2 will tag alongside the CMF Phone 1 launch 20 on July 8 at 5:00 PM Philippine time.
Earlier this year, its predecessor, the CMF Watch Pro 40 has become available in Digital Walker, priced at PHP 3,990. The new model’s price could be more or less the same.
